However, we never
were without an answer to this question in the first place. For the Bible HAS revealed that there is no such thing as original
sin. Look at this very clear biblical passage: Ezekiel 18:20 "The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear
the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall
be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."
Q. What soul shall die (spiritually
speaking?)
A. the soul that SINS. A son is not responsible for his father's sin, and vice versa. We are all responsible
for our own righteousness or unrighteousness (sin). The only thing we inherit from Adam's sin is the ‘consequence'
of his sin - that we all shall die physically. Because he sinned, they were banished from the garden of Eden, and thus the
tree of life (everlasting). Because of his sin, death came into the world. We, as his descendents, bear this consequence.
Q. What is sin?
A. 1 John 3:4 "Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression
of the law."
When the apostles tried to keep the little children from coming up to Jesus, Jesus Himself said that
the Kingdom of heaven is made up of such innocence: Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Allow little children, and forbid
them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Not one of those children was baptized, as the church
did not even begin until the day of Pentecost (not only that but never was there ever in the Bible a baptism performed on
an infant) - so obviously these unbaptized children were not depraved souls with the stain of original sin because Jesus said
they would be in the Kingdom of heaven.
When will the catholic church ever learn to stop teaching what is not in
the Bible? If only she would stick to what God has revealed in His word there would never have been this reversal to begin
with.
The catholic church is being careful not to say that there is no original sin - rather only that God's
mercy will overcome it. If the church were ever to admit its false teaching on the matter of original sin it would be a death
blow to the other related false doctrines the church has been teaching, such as infant baptism and about Mary being born without
original sin and therefore being so holy that not only was she born sinless, but remained sinless all her life and ascended
into heaven (a doctrine pronounced by the pope only in 1950 and never ever mentioned in the Bible!)
The church
claims for itself infallibility in its doctrinal teaching. That means it cannot make a mistake because God promised it would
keep her from error. Popes throughout the ages have flip-flopped all over the place between what is sin and what is not: i.e.:
1) Was it not a sin before Vatican II to eat meat on Fridays? Is it still a sin?
2) Was it not a sin
to touch the communion host except with the tongue prior to Vatican II? Is it still a sin? Is it not now allowed to not only
accept it in the hand, but to chew it as well?
3) Was it not a sin to read or own a Bible in the English language
before Vatican II? Is it still a sin?
These are just three examples, there are more. The church cannot claim that
it must change with the times. Why not? Because the revealed scriptures say that His will was ONCE revealed to all, and that
He remains the same always (Heb. 13:8). In them we learn what is sin and what is not. If we stick to only the law as the scriptures
reveal, it will never have to be changed. What was sin in apostolic times is sin today. It is only when man makes up his own
rules that the law of sin changes. And that is not God's law to begin with. Romans 3:4 "...yea, let God be true,
but every man a liar; ...
If you are a catholic and reading this, I urge you to investigate what your church teaches.
If this news just makes you happy to know that now these babies will see heaven, ask yourself how an infallible church could
get this wrong to begin with. And remember, the Bible warns "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they draw to themselves teachers, having itching ears;" 2 Timothy 4:3 This warns that
people will fall for false teachers, being happy that they are hearing what they want to hear.
